Gerstein Fisher participates in the AP-VEI Internship Fellows Program
This past summer, Gerstein Fisher participated in the American Portfolios (AP) and Virtual Enterprises International, Inc. (VEI) Internship Fellows Program. This program was a national initiative designed to help transform high school students into young professionals while building a major talent pipeline for participating firms.
2016’s five-week internship program was conducted in partnership with VEI, an educational non-profit that develops skills and competencies for the workplace and business careers through its apprenticeship model encompassing 12,000 students throughout 19 states. VEI students gain a year of daily work experience by developing and running companies in their classroom and engaging in trade as part of a global network of student-run businesses.
Gerstein Fisher sponsored four interns from VEI working at the Gerstein Fisher office and another five to work within the American Portfolios advisor network. In the video below, the students and members of the Gerstein Fisher team share their experiences from a summer of working together.
