Real Talks Recap 2017: The Future of America, In Context
On May 1, 2017, Gerstein Fisher hosted a special event in New York City, “The Future of America, In Context.”
The evening’s guest speakers included award-winning macroeconomist and Northwestern University Professor Robert Gordon, who shared research from his recent book, The Rise and Fall of American Growth; and Harvard Business School’s David Moss, an award-winning professor of business government and international economy and the author of Democracy: A Case Study, who took attendees through some historical examples of the resiliency of American democracy in the face of conflict.
Gerstein Fisher’s Head of Quantitative Research and Portfolio Strategy, Gregg S. Fisher, discussed the implications for investors of many of the themes our guest speakers touched on in an era of low growth, political discord, and threats of protectionism.
